Normally, I dread Mondays because it’s the busiest day of the week but since the year started, I’ve always been excited for it because it means I get to do Antigravity Yoga(AGY)!
Here I am doing the “Skirted Star” position. I just learned this today! :) I’m really afraid of activities like these and I’m not a gutsy person so I’m really proud of myself for overcoming my fear of heights and inversions through AGY.
I’m currently on leave from January to February just for this. My mom insisted that I find a new hobby especially sports because of the weight I’ve gained since I started blogging. *oink* Yoga isn’t exactly for weight loss but it helps a lot with toning the body and of course, relaxation. I feel at peace whenever I’m suspended upside down. Seriously!
One of the positions that I was really afraid of is the 360 degree flip. First, you start in a sitting position then point your toes upward and to the back of the room, use your upper body strength to hold on to the sash and next thing you know, you’ve already done it. I’m able to do this on my own after a few tries. AGY mostly uses your upper body strength so be prepared! :)
Here’s a sneak peek photo that I took during one of our classes. The guy in black is our sexy instructor, Paulo. He’s my favorite!!
Beyond Yoga has 2 branches: Il Terazzo, Quezon City and in Bonifacio High Street Central. You can read more about Antigravity Yoga at I GO BEYOND YOGA’s Website.
